COMANCO Constructs New Landfill Cell for Indian River County in Florida
COMANCO recently constructed a new landfill cell for Indian River County in Florida. We were awarded this project in early 2024, and after months of hard work, we have nearly completed the new cell, effectively expanding the local landfill in Vero Beach.
This turnkey project required earthwork and liner installation to create the 11.5-acre Class 1 Landfill Cell. To line an area this large, COMANCO utilized various geosynthetic materials supplied mainly by SOLMAX. Overall all, we installed 1,111,500 SF of 60mil liner, 551,025 SF of GCL, 1,143,000 SF of Geocomposite, and 76,500 SF Geotextile. See the job unfold in our recent project video,
