Last week, eight newly hired COMANCO employees underwent several avenues of training. COMANCO’s motto is always “SAFETY First.” As such, freshly hired COMANCO employees undergo two weeks of training to prepare them for the field. This class was no different.
First, the class underwent CPR & AED certification and training. This training provides in-depth knowledge and real-world scenarios for when to properly administer CPR and the AED device. Some items the class went over were proper technique, when to perform, when to stop, how to keep yourself safe, when to call 9-1-1 and how to prepare mentally. First Aid training teaches basic skills if an accident happens. The COMANCO employees passed their certification with flying colors.
In addition to the First Aid training, the class was taken outside and participated in task training. Task training is where these employees learn how to deal with tasks they will perform every day in the field. This training lets our employees view and utilize our tools and get a better understanding of how the process works on job sites. Thanks to our Fleet department for the time and dedication needed for this training.
