COMANCO Works on Power Plant Repairs in Tampa
COMANCO was recently contracted to complete repairs for a Power Plant in Tampa, Florida. We have made significant progress since starting the job at the end of 2023.
Initially, we installed composite panels over the parking lot asphalt for the laydown yard. Following this task, the crew built a temporary access ramp on the west side of the pond. From there, 524 LF of Silt Fence was installed at the north and west sides of the staging area.
So far, the earthwork has consisted of having 3482.2 CY of MSE, 200.8 CY of structural fill, and 35.2 CY of hard pan delivered to the site.
Now the crew has started demucking the pond to begin the berm remediation. But one challenge the crew faces is continuously dewatering the pond and creating a dry surface from which to work.
COMANCO is staying on schedule and following safety procedures. With no unexpected delays, this project is set to be completed in the next few months.
