COMANCO Nearly Completes New Landfill Cell Construction
COMANCO has nearly completed the construction of a new landfill cell in DeSoto County, Florida. To prepare the cell for liner installation, our crew first had to prepare the subgrade and level out the 10-acre project site. (See our last blog, which detailed the earthwork during the first stage of this landfill cell construction project in March.)
Since our previous update, COMANCO has finished installing the geosynthetic liner and protective cover. To complete the liner installation, our crew had to install a significant amount of various geosynthetic materials. Our crew used a total of:
- 427,901 SF of Geomembrane
- 15,778 SF of GCL
- 455,099 SF of Geocomposite
- 36,947 CY of Protective Cover
