In 2011, COMANCO was selected as the General Contractor for the Calamus Pond Liner Replacement. Nebraska hatcheries raise over 20 different Cold and Cool-Water species for release into State waters.
The project scope included:
- 51 Ponds, 1 ac and 0.5 ac in size – totaling 2,681,253sf of Geomembrane Removal of old 30mil PVC Liner.
- Grading and reshaping of pond bottoms and slopes.
- Installation of new Firestone 45mil EPDM Liner.
- Surface repair of concrete Kettle/Chimney structures.
- Replacement of all mechanical liner terminations – 2450lf.
- Fabrication and installation od over 90 pipe penetration boots.
- Grading and reestablishment of access roads with Mudrock and Gravel.
- On-site harvesting of sod for perimeter slope stabilization.
