Over the past week, COMANCO has been able to make significant progress on multiple projects at a central Florida landfill facility. The crew led by Supervisor Justino Macedo was able to complete the 10-acre new cell expansion protective cover grading. Work on the leachate pump station controls and instrumentation are underway and is looking to wrap up in the coming days. The second project, a partial closure, picks back up as COMANCO pushes forward to complete protective cover hauling and placing. Installation of 50,000SF of turf reinforcement matting and sod will follow the protective cover grading. Once the closure is complete, COMANCO can shift focus to perimeter work around the new cell expansion. Continue to check in and see how both projects finish coming down the stretch.
