Over the last few weeks, COMANCO has been working an 8-acre landfill expansion project in Central Florida.
Foreman Robert Dobert has been leading the team on this landfill expansion, as they recently finished up installing 330,500SF of geocomposite drainage net. Following behind the geocomposite crew is a small crew that is fusion welding 1,200 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE perforated leachate collection pipe.
The team will be using a McElroy datalogger to ensure that each weld is of the highest QUALITY for our customer’s landfill expansion. Once the pipe is fused and set, then 460 tons of aggregate will be placed over the pipe and wrapped in an 8-oz non-woven geotextile.
