A COMANCO crew, led by Supervisors Carlos Garcia and Kenny Frazier, has started a repair job to a stormwater swale on an existing landfill cap in Ormond Beach, FL.
The cap’s existing soil cover and concrete rip-rap have been removed and stockpiled, and the existing liner exposed. The crew is now preparing the subgrade, performing repair patches to the damaged liner, and replacing the protective cover soil over the top. Once the existing landfill cap is brought back up to the final, the final closure elevation Watershed Geo’s HydroTurf system will be installed in the stormwater swale to reduce future erosion drastically.
