Recently a COMANCO crew Led by Superintendents Chase Yarbrough and Jorge Barrantes completed a liner installation closure project on a 14 acre Central Florida Landfill Cell.
The project consisted of installing a 2-layer geosynthetic system consisting of a 40mil HDPE Textured Geomembrane primary layer bottom and a 200mil Double-Sided Geocomposite drainage layer on top. The scope also included installing a 6” Perforated Corrugated Toe Drain Pipe wrapped in a 6oz Non-woven geotextile fabric. Overall the crew installed over 599,000 SF of both Geomembrane and Geocomposite along with installing over 2,000 LF of toe drain and four pipe boots.
The crew was able to complete the project ahead of schedule.
