Earlier this week, COMANCO was able to begin the liner installation phase on a Central Florida landfill expansion project. Supervisor Gerardo Ruiz is leading the liner team as they get underway deploying secondary GCL and HDPE 60mil liner.
In all, nearly three million square feet of GCL, HDPE 60mil liner and double-sided geocomposite will be installed across this new cell expansion. Ahead of the liner crew, Superintendent Matt Carroll and the earthwork team are utilizing GPS dozers to fine grade and prepare subgrade for the liner team to deploy on each day.
These efforts take coordination and teamwork between each group as they strive to deliver a QUALITY product that’s installed safely and efficiently for the customer. Check back to keep up with the expansion process!
