Where Do Dairy Products Come From?

Have you ever wondered where your dairy products come from?

It might surprise many, but the dairy items you find in the grocery store or markets come straight from a Dairy Farm! The dairy industry plays a vital role in our society.

Dairy Farms provide many amazing products to consumers like milk, cheese, butter, ice cream, yogurt, condensed milk, dried milk, cream cheese, sour cream, and more! Not only do we get to enjoy these wonderful foods and drinks, but we get so many good sources of vitamins from drinking milk because it contains so many natural enzymes as well as other essential nutrients.

Dairy Farms are located on a large plot of land, which helps with the raising of cattle. Pictured is a beautiful photograph of a Dairy Farm in North Florida. The role of farmers in our society cannot be overstated. They devote their lives to working on farms and caring for animals, helping our community, and protecting the environment.

It’s fascinating to learn about the Dairy Farm industry and what our farmers do to provide for their community. COMANCO thanks every Dairy Farmer for providing us with nutritious and safe products, and we are proud to be a part of this industry.

If you ever get the opportunity, thank a dairy farmer for all they do.

AGRICULTURE:

Recently enacted environmental legislation makes the containment of wastewater and animal waste a requirement rather than an option. COMANCO provides cost-effective solutions to prevent seepage of runoff that contains nitrates, ammonia, phosphorus, and bacteria that can harm and foul waterways. However, if properly contained and managed, these contaminants can be applied to land nutrients, leading to a significant reduction in fertilizer costs.

Using the highest quality geosynthetic liner material, COMANCO builds lined and covered storage basins that allow for liquid and semi-solid waste retention for subsequent controlled disposal or land application. Additionally, to prevent contaminants from entering the surrounding environment, geosynthetic covered containment systems also effectively reduce or eliminate odors. Traditional compacted soil and clay liners are simply not enough. In addition to constructing new containment ponds and canal liners, COMANCO can also reline your existing ponds.

Climate change and population growth have increased the demand for water while America’s farmers are being asked to produce more with

Since 1989, COMANCO has been working with the agricultural industry across the country to find and implement cost-effective solutions to help mitigate their legal and environmental risk.
