Aquatic Amenities – COMANCO Builds Residential Lake Featuring Lazy River for Florida Community
Geosynthetic liner is commonly used to create beautiful aquatic amenities for both practical and aesthetic purposes. One of our current projects is building a residential lake with a lazy river for a community on the south-central Florida coast.
So far, we have performed excavation work and installed pipes for the underdrain and the lake pump system. We installed 2,000 LF of 8″ HDPE underdrain while maintaining the temporary well pumps on site. After installing and testing the underdrain, we disconnected the temporary well points and ran the system successfully. Currently, we are conducting density tests on all the disturbed areas. We have completed 115 density tests and are preparing for liner installation, which will follow shortly.
