Today, ten of our new hires completed the 3 days, 24-hour MSHA New Miner Training class. Rick Ooley with Safety Solutions & Supply was our class instructor for the training. The Mine Safety and Health Administration requires all employees to have this training upon entering a mine. This class teaches our new employees the safe work habits, the procedures, and the regulations of being a miner. It also covers safety topics such as first aid, fall protection, ladder safety, and many more.
