COMANCO Completes Liner Installation For Gold Mine in Northern Nevada
Our dedicated crew out west, under the leadership of Superintendent Pablo Medina, has completed the geosynthetic liner installation for a Gold Mine in Northern Nevada. Their high-quality work on the secondary containment pipe channel system will aid our client’s borehole mining operations.
COMANCO faced several challenges when installing this geosynthetic liner system, such as drastic climate changes. For example, some days were sunny, while other days, the crew worked through several inches of snow. Despite the unpredictable weather conditions, the crew completed the project promptly and with zero incidents on an MSHA site.
Overall, the project’s scope included installing a 10oz geotextile followed by the primary 80mil HD liner. This installation also required installing a few pipe boots and some stainless-steel batten bar. Ultimately, this project was successful, and the newly lined system will provide mining containment for the facility. Keep up the good work, team!
