The COMANCO Team has finished another project ahead of schedule and under budget.
The project was the Lena Road Landfill Stage III LFGCS Expansion located in Manatee County which took place from the beginning of October and lasted until late November. The project team had to excavate and drill boring holes for 12 new gas collection wells for the current landfill gas system. This involved fusing together 1,600 linear feet of 8” HDPE pipe, 900 linear feet of 18” HDPE pipe, and 525 linear feet of well piping from depths of 20 to 60 feet.
Project Superintendent Bill Newman credits the success of the project to the crew working together as a “very good team.”
