COMANCO is currently in the midst of multiple activities on a Central Florida Landfill Expansion project. Leading the charge is Superintendent Chase Yarbrough and Foreman Matt Carroll. One ongoing task consists of tying the 8-inch and 6-inch HDPE leachate header lines to four motorized valves, which then connect to the primary and secondary lift stations. A separate crew is in the process of installing 1,500LF of 8-inch HDPE perforated pipe with drainage gravel and textile wrap.
A data logger is used on each weld made to ensure the customer is receiving a high-quality product. As the burrito wrap crew moves forward, another crew carefully follows behind and places a 2-foot protective sand cover over the drainage system. COMANCO is using GPS technology to ensure the 2-foot cover requirement is met and maintained across the cell. Continue to check in as everything looks to come together down the home stretch!
