New Landfill Cover Completion Helps to Maintain Erosion Control Measures
Landfill covers have many benefits. Besides their ability to safely enclose toxins, specific cover systems also have aesthetic and erosion control advantages. This particular landfill cover project consists of placing cover fill material over the active areas in the landfill. Approximately one (1′) foot thick fill layer was placed over 118,000 SF. Our Crew finished hauling and grading the fill material this past month. The final part of this project will be the installation of 108,000 SF of Bahia sod. This will help maintain erosion control measures at this site and provide an aesthetically pleasing closure method that blends naturally into the surrounding environment.
