COMANCO crew is in the final phase of MGMS Installation (Methane Gas Management System)

The COMANCO crew is in the final stage of installing a Methane Gas Management System (MGMS) in Miami, Florida. Superintendent, Billy Menard, heads up this project to create a sustainable working environment for future tenants to have a new warehouse space without any concerns about breathing methane gases inside the buildings.

Billy and his team recently installed the 4″ vertical vent risers along the west wall of the building. They also installed 363,000 SF of smooth liner and 7,260 LF of Geovent for the Guardhouse. Over 9,100 LF of SCH80 PVC piping will allow the methane to vent correctly under the new construction.

This project has allowed the COMANCO crew to learn and train on new equipment in order to reach important pieces of PVC pipe over 30ft high and 60ft away.

Now this project is a functional and active system that consists of multiple pipes serving multiple purposes over the 8.33-acre site. With the final intention being to repurpose the land sustainably for years to come.
