Supervisors Nominate Prospects For Week-Long Employee Training Program in Plant City, FL, for Expediting Internal Growth at COMANCO.
COMANCO has designed an Employee Training Program (ETP) as an investment in our future. ETP prioritizes the development of our employees so that we can guarantee internal growth as a company.
Superintendent Jorge Barrantes has been at the forefront of establishing ETP. Jorge says:
“If we do not emphasize training our new hires, as well as cross-training our liner techs and master seamers, our employees will, inevitably, lack the motivation and knowledge to acquire new or improve existing skills.”
As the champion of this program, Jorge reminds us that many COMANCO employees have gotten to experience working alongside cousins, dads, brothers, and sons. Employees have seen their families grow from laborers to technicians, QCs, and Superintendents. These legacies are only possible with the proper training. ETP allows us to prepare employees, and our company, for the future.
With the launch of ETP, we launch our new strategy of passing years of knowledge on to as many employees as possible. Imparting the skills of our senior employees onto our younger crew members ensures that our company will run smoothly after our senior employees retire, leaving COMANCO in good hands. Superintendents and Foremen will use ETP to help employees develop skills, knowledge, and an overall understanding of why we do things “The COMANCO WAY.”
