Today, COMANCO’s Marketing Director, Christine Thomas participated as a judge for the Hardee High Science Fair and Engineering Expo which was held at Hardee High School in Wauchula, FL. The students sat by their exhibits while the judges, from all over Hardee and surrounding counties, approached each exhibit and spoke with the students and asked questions about their project, such as how they got the materials for their particular project, what steps did they take in their research, etc.
The judges had to narrow the projects down to the top 25 and then again down to the top 15. Each judge gave an explanation why they chose the particular project to go on to State. The top 15 students where brought back to explain their project before the whole group of judges.
The Awards Ceremony will be held this evening and each of the 15 finalist will be presented with an award and find out who will be chosen to participate in the State Science Fair. Hardee Senior High school is leading the way in implementing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
