Last weekend, COMANCO blacked-out the last sub-cell in a five cell expansion in Miami-Dade County.
This 11+ acre cell has had a few hurdles with the limited access/egress and weather, but with amazing communication from Superintendents Chase Yarbrough, Gerardo Ruiz, Jorge Barrantes and the operations team – COMANCO was able to install the first two layers of a 5-layer Geosynthetic System for the last cell of the landfill expansion. This was a huge accomplishment as the rainy season is upon us. The weather could have hampered the project’s progress had the liner subgrade not been covered prior.
Nevertheless, COMANCO continues to stick to its core values – SAFETY, QUALITY, SERVICE – to get the job done.
Check back with us as we finish the final three layers – two layers of Geocomposite and one layer of Geomembrane – to bring our Geosynthetic Installation phase of this project to a close.
