A COMANCO earthwork crew, led by Foreman Jason Giles and Kenny Frazier, is pushing to complete the closure of the northwest corner of the stack to reduce rain shed.
The crew finished hauling over 100,000 CY of liner soil cover, completed the installation of all concrete stormwater inlet structures, and are nearing the completion of the stormwater outlet structures. This installation included a 36” HDPE pipe extension to a new precast concrete stormwater inlet box at the bottom of the stack that will serve as the system’s main drainage point for all stormwater on the northwest corner.
The heavy equipment operators are focusing on getting the remaining ditches, slopes, and roads finish graded in preparation for sodding and hydro-seed. A separate small crew will begin the installation of fabriform around the completed inlet and outlet structures.
Continue to check the blog for updates as COMANCO looks to close this one out!
