Superintendent Josh Philhower and Safety Officer Todd Klementz ensured the COMANCO crew’s safety at work on a liner installation at Gopher Resources Facility in Tampa, Florida.

All employees were fit tested to wear full-face respirators so that they did not inhale toxic lead particles. They wore protective gloves, rubber boots, and coveralls to protect them from contact exposure as well.

There was an added hazard with the high heat index inside the building, so Klementz monitored the time and scheduled routine cooling breaks in a decontamination area where crew members could remove gear, cool down, and hydrate.

When going home safely is most important, COMANCO wears the proper PPE and follows the required processes to make sure everyone does exactly that!
