COMANCO Environmental Nears Completion at a California Landfill

by

COMANCO is making steady progress on the installation of a multi-layer liner system at a landfill located in California’s Central Coast. The crew has installed over 620,000 square feet of geocomposite, geosynthetic clay liner, 40-mil textured HDPE geomembrane, and 80-mil textured HDPE geomembrane. The crew has welded over 3,700 linear feet of tie-in to an existing cell that borders the new expansion. The crew is finishing some detail work on the primary geomembrane before installing the final layer of geocomposite.

The 14-man crew, led by Superintendent Tony Sanchez, is approaching completion ahead of schedule. Despite facing constant winds and steep slopes, the crew has worked safely and efficiently without incident. Keep up the great work Tony and crew!
