At our Central Florida Chemical Plant, COMANCO earthwork and liner crews are pushing to complete a closure in order to reduce rain shed.
The earthwork crew activities consist of disc and amendment with dolomitic limestone of the existing gypsum slopes, hauling soil cover, sodding, preparing subgrade for liner installation on ditches, and roads, installing concrete drain inlets and outlets, and installation of fabriform. To date, the COMANCO liner crew has installed 13 acres of 40mil and 60mil geosynthetic liner and geocomposite. Altogether, the completion of the rain shed project will significantly alleviate millions of gallons of rainwater needing to be treated by the facility.
