COMANCO Contributes to Channelside, Tampa Restoration with New Pond Liner Installation
COMANCO recently completed an ¼ acre BMP pond for the inner city revitalization of Channelside in Tampa. The purpose of the pond is to clean stormwater runoff of silt before it enters the city’s stormwater system.
We lined the pond using a 60mil HDPE liner and also installed pipe boots and batten bars to secure the system. Additionally, we conducted final quality control testing. Despite the detailed work involved, we were able to complete the project in just two days.
This project marks one small step in a larger plan to redevelop Tampa’s Channelside and historic Ybor City. With this new development and the upcoming plan for Ybor Harbor, both Channelside and Ybor are undergoing massive transformations that will enhance and connect the downtown Tampa communities.
