Earlier this week, COMANCO was able to wrap up a partial landfill closure project in central Florida. The closure work area entailed 1.5 acres and included the following; HDPE gas mitigation pipework, a multi-layer geosynthetic containment system, and a 2-foot protective cover layer. Sod was recently installed putting a “cap” on the closure in a safe and efficient manner.
With the closure phase complete, Superintendent Matt Carroll, along with Foreman Gerardo Ruiz, led the crew in ramping up production on the 10-acre new cell expansion. With the liner installation window slated to start in just over a week, the earthwork crew strives to safely beat the scheduled start date. Keep up the awesome work!
