A four (4) man crew began earthwork operations on a cell construction project Friday, 2-20-15 in Apopka. FL. The cell construction consists of 8 acres of subgrade clearing and grubbing, 68,000 cubic yards of cut/fill earthwork, access road construction, protective layer and liner sub-base installs, leachate collection system installation, the construction of storm water structures and 3 acres of sodding.
The construction site is also an active landfill. As a result, the team will be working in concert with existing landfill operations as they complete the 3 month project. Led by Superintendent Bill Newman, the team has completed ¼ of all grubbing and clearing already while maintaining a consistently high level of safety awareness. Check out some pictures below of progress to date.
Keep up the great work gentlemen!
