Starkey Ranch buildings are getting a facelift this week, as the exterior of the Concession and standalone Restroom Buildings are currently getting stucco installed on the outer face of the CMU block. The stucco consists of a three layer cement coating system on top of a metal lath installed directly over the block. The metal lath gets covered with a “scratch coat” of cement first, then a “brown coat” of cement, and finally the finish/top coat. Stucco is highly water resistant, and once painted will provide a great aesthetic look for the buildings.
Inside the buildings, our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) rough-ins are wrapping up as we prepare for inspections. Once COMANCO passes inspection, the final framing work will begin before the drywall installation.
