Just this past week, COMANCO began multiple projects at a Central Florida landfill site. Superintendent Matt Carroll, along with Foreman Justino Macedo and crew, are underway this week prepping the site for construction by installing proper storm water controls, clearing, and stripping. The first phase will be a partial closure that will cover 1.5 acres of soil placement, a multi-layer liner containment system, and 2,000 linear feet of gas mitigation HDPE pipework. During the second phase, COMANCO will complete a turnkey 10-acre cell that will consist of excavation and hauling fill material, a multi-layer liner containment system, 3,000 linear feet of gas mitigation HDPE pipework, protective cover layer, and a new leachate pump station. Continue to check in as this project looks to ramp up early next week!
