Earlier this week, a COMANCO crew led by Superintendent Gerardo Ruiz began deployment of a two-layer Geosynthetic liner system for a storage-yard pond located in the Florida Panhandle. The new storage-yard pond liner system consists of 40,900 SF of 120-mil textured HDPE Geomembrane and 8 oz Non-Woven Geotextile, along with 930 LF of stainless steel batten bar around the perimeter and concrete flumes.
Although 120-mil geomembrane is extremely rare, Solmax GSE was able to produce the liner and deliver it to the job site successfully. COMANCO is off to a great start, having deployed nearly all of the liner and geotextile. The batten bar connection will be completed next week, finishing up the project. The crew is putting SAFETY first while working to provide another QUALITY product for the client.
