COMANCO Superintendent Martin Calderon shares a few photos of the work completed on the first solid waste landfill in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba!
Under the Department of Navy, COMANCO is working with RQ Construction and is installing an 11.5-acre three-layer geosynthetic system consisting of GCL, 60mil HDPE Textured Geomembrane, and a 300mil Double-Sided Composite. Martin and crew will also install Leachate Ponds and several smaller ponds as a part of the new Waste Water Treatment Facility.
Despite battling constant high winds, the crew remains upbeat and is pressing on with the work!
