Special recognition was awarded to COMANCO employees that have made significant contributions to the Standard Operating Procedures documentation. The project has been ongoing for the past seven months with the goal of documenting all processes and procedures followed in every department.
David Scherbaty and John Jacobs were recognized for their exceptional efforts to complete Estimating’s SOP. Changes and additions have meant delays in completing the final document. Estimating was one of the first departments to start work on their SOP back in January of this year.
IT Generalist and Director Matt DiTarando received an award for being the first to complete the SOP. Matt had the challenge of documenting the highly technical procedures he must follow to keep the company up and running.
Kathy Peterson took over the role of Payroll Accountant earlier this year following the departure of the individual who had been in that position for many years. Kathy jumped in and literally wrote the book on how to do payroll for COMANCO incorporating many time saving procedures. Her award was for the ‘Most Improved SOP’ as she added extensive detail and insight into the process.
Team HR, including Cynthia Reed, Amanda Long, Nathalia Plante and Emily Concepcion were recognized for their initiative in taking on the revision and updating of the HR SOP adding new processes and updating old ones.
