COMANCO Employees Attend FMI Emerging Managers Institute in Raleigh, North Carolina

As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development, five employees recently traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina, to attend the FMI Emerging Managers Institute, a leadership development program designed to help emerging leaders strengthen their management, communication, and leadership skills.
Representing a variety of departments across the company, attendees included a Project Engineer, HR Administrator, Fixed Assets Staff Accountant, Fleet Administrator, and QA/QC Engineer. The program provided a unique opportunity to learn alongside professionals from organizations across the country while gaining practical tools and insights that can be applied throughout COMANCO.
Throughout the training, participants explored a range of leadership topics, including effective delegation, understanding individual work and communication styles, building stronger professional relationships, and developing the ability to “zoom out” and evaluate challenges from a broader organizational perspective. The program also encouraged attendees to step outside their comfort zones, challenge existing assumptions, and develop new approaches to leadership and problem-solving.
To maximize the value of this experience, COMANCO will host a roundtable discussion where attendees can share key takeaways, lessons learned, and ideas for applying their new knowledge within their departments and across the organization. This collaborative discussion will further reinforce COMANCO’s commitment to continuous improvement, employee development, and creating opportunities for growth at every level of the company.
