This new landfill cell project is 9 acres of 60 mil DS textured liner and double-sided geocomposite all being installed on 2:1 slopes at 500’ plus slope lengths. Making the project difficult is the five benches located up and down the slope, and all benches have piping that needs to be installed in conjunction with the general contractor on site. From the site conditions along with the daily high winds, this project has proved to be a tough one. But true to COMANCO form, our Safety Program and daily safety meetings have helped keep this project on schedule with no safety incidents. Jesus Delgado and his crew are upbeat, ready for the challenge and should be completed in the next two weeks.
