COMANCO Supervisor Jeremy Giles and his 6-man crew recently completed five tie-ins for 6,500 LF of 24” and 30” HDPE pipe. This supports the site work at a cooling pond for a chemical facility in West Florida. Following successful completion of the tie-ins, the crew placed soil over the pipes to prevent them from walking into the adjacent canal. This work included constructing a vehicle crossing over the pipes and a water diversion berm to protect the surrounding environment. The crew is now hauling and stockpiling gyp for the construction of two cofferdams in the canal.
