During the month of June, COMANCO joins the National Safety Council in recognizing safety in the workplace and today we take a look at COMANCO’s Experience Modification Rate.
EMR is an indicator of the safety of a company in comparison to the average in a specific industry. The national standard is 1.0 and any number below it is considered safer in that industry. Effective July 1, 2015, COMANCO received an EMR of 0.59 continuing our improving trend. This is… more than 40% below the industry average.
At COMANCO we strive to be safe every day and it is very rewarding to have the independent outside data to prove that our efforts are producing the desired results. We’ll never arrive at a point where safety does not require an incredible amount of intentional specific effort but it will always be worthwhile to keep everybody safe. Lower EMRs are proof of our accomplishments.
