3 Milestones Reached on Pond Renovation Project

by

Within the past week, COMANCO was able to achieve three milestones on a pond renovation project at a Central Florida chemical facility. Superintendent Matt Carroll, along with Supervisor Justino Macedo, has been leading the 12-man crew working the earthwork portion of this project.
Milestone number one was the completion of excavating, conditioning, and hauling out roughly 31,000CY of lime sludge material to an onsite dump location. To reach the second milestone, COMANCO excavated, hauled, and placed nearly 45,000CY of compacted gypsum for the liner subgrade. The third and final milestone hit this past week and happened when the crew began to excavate, haul, and place what will be 60,000CY of gypsum liner cover.
In all, 136,000CY of material will be moved by the crew during construction. All this material has been moved without a major safety incident. Keep the heavy iron moving JOB WELL DONE!
