June 2020 New Hire Class Completes Safety Training
The COMANCO June 2020 New Hire Class recently completed extensive safety and workplace training designed to prepare new employees for successful careers in environmental construction. The June 2020 New Hire Class participated in multiple days of hands-on instruction led by Rick Herbert of Safety Training & Consulting. The training focused on building awareness of workplace hazards, improving communication, and helping employees understand the importance of maintaining safe job site practices every day.
OSHA and Safety Education
A major component of the June 2020 New Hire Class training included OSHA 10 certification courses focused on workplace safety and health standards. OSHA training helps employees identify hazards, understand proper safety procedures, and reduce risks commonly found on construction and industrial job sites.
In addition to OSHA education, employees also completed First Aid and CPR training to better prepare them for emergency situations that may occur in the field. This training provided practical instruction on responding to injuries, reporting incidents, and assisting coworkers in potentially hazardous situations.
Job Site-Specific Training
The June 2020 New Hire Class also received job site-specific training designed to familiarize employees with real-world working conditions they may encounter throughout their careers with COMANCO. This portion of the training introduced employees to environmental construction operations, safety procedures, reporting expectations, and hazard control methods.
