More Than 80,000 SF of Textured HDPE Installed
COMANCO installed more than 80,000 square feet of AGRU 60-mil textured HDPE geomembrane for the evaporation pond, covering an area equivalent to nearly 17 NBA basketball courts side by side.
The installation was led by Field Manager James Kile, Foreman Martin Calderon Jr., and Project Engineer Jose Martinez, whose coordination and leadership helped keep the project moving safely and efficiently despite the challenges of an active construction environment.
Working alongside multiple contractors across the site, the crew remained adaptable to changing conditions while maintaining COMANCO’s commitment to Safety, Quality, and Service throughout every phase of the installation.
Custom Depth Markers Improve Long-Term Operations
One unique feature of this project was the fabrication and installation of custom depth markers using white HDPE weld rod. Rather than relying on temporary markers, the crew permanently welded each marker directly into the geomembrane liner system.
These durable markers provide clear and reliable water level references for future operations and maintenance personnel. By creating permanent visual reference points within the liner system, the installation supports both operational efficiency and long-term asset management.
