A Fond Farewell to Willie J. Boswell, A True COMANCO Legend
After more than two decades of dedication and hard work, Willie J. Boswell is hanging up his boots and beginning a well-deserved retirement.
Willie joined COMANCO in 2001 and quickly became a cornerstone of the team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, he played a critical role in countless successful projects, working closely with many Superintendents throughout his career. His experience, consistency, and deep understanding of the work made him someone others could always count on in the field.
More Than a Teammate
Beyond his technical expertise, Willie brought warmth, camaraderie, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with. He was not just a reliable operator, but also a teammate and a friend who helped shape the culture of the crews around him.
When asked by HR about his retirement plans, Willie responded with a chuckle and a smile,
“I’ll be on the jobsite on Monday,”
followed by laughter that perfectly captured his dedication and sense of humor.
A Career Shared Together
One of Willie’s Superintendents, Billy Wilson, shared this heartfelt reflection:
“When he started, I started with him. We made it together, and now, as his last Superintendent here at the company, we end it together.”
A Lasting Legacy
As Willie steps into this next chapter, we hope he enjoys spending quality time with his kids and family while creating new memories and adventures. His loyalty, work ethic, and leadership have left a legacy that will continue to be felt across COMANCO for years to come.
