The WOCA was a must-attend event for all professionals in the coal ash industry. This international conference organized by the American Coal Ash Association (ACAA) and the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER) is a biennial meeting with a focus on the science, applications, and sustainability of worldwide coal combustion products (CCP’s) as well as gasification products.
This year, the Conference welcomed over 1,000 attendees at the Lexington Convention Center & Hyatt Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky. COMANCO has been a long-time exhibitor at this event, and this year the conference began with a Welcome Reception on Monday evening. This was followed by 3 days of technical sessions related to ‘coal combustion product utilization.’ On Wednesday evening, the attendees were treated to an off-site event at the Kentucky Horse Park which is one of the world’s best equine competition facilities. Everyone was treated to a special dinner on the arena floor followed by a ‘Parade of Breeds’ horse show. COMANCO would like to thank the WOCA organization for this special event.
