COMANCO is making progress on a landfill project in central Florida. The work consists of constructing a new entrance road for the landfill by hauling and placing over 35,000cy of compacted fill, importing and installing over 6,500 tons of DOT road base, placing 2.5″ asphalt pavement in two lifts, and also building new stormwater ditches and berms, RCP pipe installation, and a leachate holding tank subgrade pad. COMANCO is also directly involved with the new scale house and scales on the project, acquiring permits from the agencies and managing the schedule and sequencing. The project is led by superintendents Bill Newman and Chase Yarbrough, and project engineer Marcus Gress. Enjoy a few photos of the work!
