COMANCO Environmental recently completed the Cell 20 Ash Cell on 5/24/13. Covering a 10 acre new cell at the Miami-Dade Landfill in Doral, Florida. The system is composed of GCL (geosynthetic clay liner), 2 layers of 60-mil white HDPE liner, geonet and Geocomposite, 2 feet of protective drainage sand, limestone roads, various sizes of HDPE pipe, river gravel, sumps, storm water ditch excavation, sod, concrete and cell grading. This project was completed early and under budget with no lost time accidents – great job team! The team was lead by Foremen – Nathan Wilfong & Pedro Beltran, Superintendent-Tony Sanchez, Project Manager – Clayton Lung, Project Engineer-Thomas Raab and Superintendent-Arnulfo Martinez.
