COMANCO has recently begun installation of a multilayer liner containment system at a landfill expansion project in Central Florida. Superintendent Jorge Barrantes is leading the 12-man crew as they begin deployment. Overall, the six layer system covers 10 acres and will include two layers each of geosynthetic clay liner, geocomposite drainage net, and HDPE textured liner. The crew will be tying into the existing cell’s containment system along with several pipe boots throughout the cell. Both COMANCO’s liner and earthwork crews will be working together to cover and protect approved subgrade. Look for future updates as the project progresses!
