COMANCO is proud to congratulate Jorge Gomez Ruiz, Foreman, who is celebrating eight years as a COMANCO employee on April 10, 2016.
Fun Facts about Jorge: Jorge started with COMANCO back in 2008 as a QA/QC, learned his job very fast, and was quickly promoted to Foreman. As a Foreman, he has worked with many Superintendents, but as recent as last year, was put in charge of his own crew. The first job that he supervised with his crew was a geosynthetic liner installation at Palatka Power Plant. His next big job was in Kissimmee at JED landfill. He has worked with a crew as small as 12 employees and up to 30 employees. As a Foreman, he feels empowered to motivate and encourage his crew to do their best.
Jorge has one son that is seven years old and in his free time he likes to spend as much time with him as possible. They play soccer and baseball together and run at the park. He says that his son is his favorite person in the world. Jorge can’t name a favorite food, but says he really likes enchiladas. In the future, he plans to continue growing in his current role and considers each day an opportunity to improve his skills.
Congratulations, Jorge, on the celebration of your eighth anniversary with COMANCO. We are very glad that you chose COMANCO, the nation’s leading service provider to the geosynthetics marketplace, as your employer.
