Last week, Halifax Insurance Partners conducted a Certificate of Insurance (COI) training class for our Operations and Accounting teams. A certificate of insurance is a document used to provide information on specific insurance coverage. The certificate verifies the insurance and usually contains information on types and limits of coverage, insurance company, policy number, named insured, and the policies’ effective periods. Since our Accounting and Operations teams deal with COI on a regular basis, this training was particularly important to confirm COMANCO’s compliance with our internal processes.
