Ed Zimmel and Jim Youngblood from GSE Environmental and Tom Ingra and Pete Ingalls from Ardaman & Associates joined COMANCO’s Project Manager Dragan Milosavljevic, Vice President Tommy Topp and the COMANCO Fleet Department as a collective group to test liner that will be used on a future project. The GSE White Conductive Liner and has not been previously used on projects like this. To ensure the liner is in compliance with the project specifications, a series of tests must be conducted and passed prior to installation.
Today, in the COMANCO shop, we are conducting the first wave of testing that will consist of welding together regular HDPE liner to test via air test, peel & shear and v-box. Once this testing is completed, the white conductive liner will be welded together and the same tests will be performed again. When all parties involved are satisfied with the results, samples will be mailed to three different testing labs across the country and independently tested. The results will be compared and when they pass specifications, the liner will be produced by GSE Environmental for the future project.
