COMANCO Employees Revisit FPP/MSHA Refresher Course

COMANCO enforces a strict safety policy that requires field employees to revisit the FPP MSHA course annually. In March, 16 employees participated in the Florida Phosphate Producers (FPP), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) refresher course.

The course trains new hires and contractors on site hazards. Completing this orientation provides employees with a renewed certification, which allows access to the FPP member’s facility and mine sites. Not only is this mandatory under COMANCO’s policy, but Federal law mandates that all miners receive basic and annual training. Furthermore, mine operators are required to maintain an effective training plan. To help meet these training regulations, MSHA provides materials, guidance, and hands-on assistance to miners and operators.

COMANCO takes pride in investing in its employees’ growth, education, and promotions. Completing the FPP MSHA Refresher Training Course allows our employees to receive their new Florida Phosphate Producers Picture Identification Card (FPP ID Card). This card then grants them access to the Florida Phosphate Producers’ members’ facilities. Congratulations to all employees who completed the FPP MSHA Refresher Training Course!
