The lower drain system of a gyp stack at a Florida Chemical Plant is now under installation. A crew led by Project Superintendent Gary Mitchell is installing what will become a 12,000 LF 12″ corrugated HDPE drain in a 20′ deep trench along the slopes of the gyp stack. This week, the crew was busy installing the first 600 LF and the crew expects to begin the installation of the upper slope drain simultaneously with the lower drain in July.
